One idea about water and pipe in 1949, still run by the family
Yakima WA's local pump & irrigation service for over 70 years. Our family owned and operated business has been the premier choice for innovative and efficient systems in Washington since 1949, and we can supply, install and repair your system from the ground up.
In 1949 Ole Akland was aware of the everyday struggles of Yakima Valley farmers to farm their land and turn a profit. He saw the need to use irrigation water more wisely, and with less waste. So Ole opened Akland Pump and Irrigation.
Ole combined aluminum piping with an innovative pumping system to help farmers grow better crops while using less water and labor. Today his grandson Mark Akland and great-grandson Jake operate the 25 employee company that has become the Yakima Valley's best source for domestic pump and irrigation supplies and service.
Three places on one property, and the family is in all of them

The field crews
Pump technicians and electricians go out to wells, pump houses, orchards and back lawns across the valley. Akland does not drill wells. When the driller is done, the crew sets the pump, wires it and plumbs it. See well pumps and pressure tanks and line shaft and sub turbines.

The repair shop
Staff in the shop repair just about any jet, centrifugal or pool pump, and sub-turbine and turbine pumps too. The technicians are trained to custom weld, and there is a winter storage program for pumps. How the repair shop works.

The supply store
If it relates to domestic and irrigation water we probably have it. The right parts come with the right advice, and we will even show you how to install or repair a part if you need help. Browse the supply store.

Names customers mention in their reviews
We have not written a staff bio page. We let the people who called us do it. In Google reviews and on our own testimonials, customers name Kyle in the pump department, who rebuilds pumps, and then Dylan, Bob, Mark, Neal, Ezra and Tim.

Three contractor licences, all active
