Pump, well and irrigation services, in the field, in the shop and at the counter

Ole Akland opened the doors on Fruitvale Blvd in 1949. Three places on that property still do the work: a crew that goes out to the wells and fields, a repair shop with a big green lathe, and a parts counter with someone behind it who knows what fits. Pick the one that matches your problem, or call (509) 452-7867 and we will point you.

Wells, orchards, hay fields and back lawns

This is the work that happens where the water is. Akland does not drill wells. Once the driller is done, the crew sets the pump, wires it, plumbs it and gets the pressure steady.

Pump Repair Shop

A full service repair shop for jet, centrifugal, pool, sub-turbine and turbine pumps: rebuilds, seals, custom welding and a winter storage program.

Bring a pump in, or have it picked up. When the machinist is done, the shop can store an irrigation pump over the winter so it is ready ahead of the spring rush.

A new well pump, a pressure tank or an irrigation pump

Whether you need a new water well pump, pressure tank or irrigation pump, Akland Pump & Irrigation has the parts and experience you need. Constant pressure systems run on a Variable Frequency Drive, which the crews install and service. Call the shop to get an estimate on the parts and installation you need.

We do not drill wells or work on septic systems

Akland installs the pump after a well driller drills the well. We sell septic pumps, but we cannot work on a septic system. We also no longer design sprinkler systems, though we repair existing ones. For everything else on this page, the irrigation pump crew, the repair shop and the counter are ready.

Tell the shop what the pump is doing

Cycling on and off, no water, losing pressure in the field: describe it and someone at the counter will sort out whether it needs a crew, the shop or a part.
